This decision follows an alert from the Indian Meteorological Department predicting heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across Goa. The holiday aims to ensure the safety of young children amid the incessant rain.
While students and teachers are granted a holiday, teachers assigned to training must report as scheduled. Additionally, students are advised to stay indoors and avoid flooded streets, riversides, and other hazardous areas.
