Panaji: The Government of Goa has announced the schedule for the Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yatra Yojana for the year 2025–26. The state scheme, implemented through the Directorate of Social Welfare, provides one-time travel assistance in a lifetime to senior citizens for pilgrimage to sacred holy places outside Goa.

This year, four pilgrimage trips have been arranged in association with the Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) to Vellankani and Ayodhya. The journeys are scheduled to commence from January 9, 2026, with subsequent trips on January 19, January 26 and February 2, 2026.

The pilgrimage will be conducted under an agency package as per the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Government of Goa with agencies appointed by the Directorate of Social Welfare. Each tour will include a minimum of 750 pilgrims or will be subject to the carrying capacity of the train, whichever is lower.

Applicants must be between 50 and 70 years of age and physically and mentally fit to undertake the journey. One attendant will be allowed to accompany each beneficiary free of cost. Applicants should not be suffering from any communicable diseases and are required to submit a self-medical certificate and self-declaration through the portal.

Interested and eligible citizens who have not availed benefits under the scheme earlier can apply online through the web portal or mobile app at www.yatraconnect.in. Citizens are urged to register at the earliest to avail the benefit under the scheme.
