Panaji: Revolutionary Goans Party President Manoj Parab has sharply criticized the Goa Heritage Festival, which is celebrated in Saligao by the Goa Government. Parab pointed out the stark contradiction between promoting heritage and allowing the destruction of Saligao’s hills by migrants to create settlements, and fields being targeted by builders. He labeled the festival as another commission event orchestrated by the BJP, questioning what true heritage the government aims to promote amid the ongoing environmental degradation.
