Time and Again BJP Government in Goa has tried to exploit Common Man with its anti-people decisions. Insensitive BJP Government always targets mariginalised sector with irresponsible policies, charged Yuri Alemao.
People have fully realised the Pro-Rich and Anti-Poor Policies of BJP Government. People will Vote against Lotus to withdraw BJP Government in States undergoing Polls this month and eventually from Centre in 2024, claimed Yuri Alemao.
Almost 4 crores were spent on Solar Ferry Boat which was procured in 2021 based on a simple note moved by OSD of then CM Manohar Parrikar in 2017. The Solar Ferry Boat remained unoperational due to lack of trained staff. Now, Rats have taken over the Ferry Boat, Yuri Alemao stated.
Another similar Story is in the making with plans of Government on introducing Ro-Ro Ferry Boats in Goa. Government should first put in place proper mechanism to ensure smooth operations of vessels. I hope the procurement will be done following all codal formalities, said Yuri Alemao.
River Navigation Department has a fleet of 31 Ferry Boats some of them are of 1986 & 1988 Model. I doubt whether any Fitness Audit is done by the Government of these Ferry Boats. It is high time that all wasteful expenditure on Event Management is stopped and funds are utilised to provide Safe Transportation to Goans, urged Yuri Alemao.
