Margao – Cuncolkars led the first Revolution against Dictatorial Portuguese Regime. Cuncolkar lighted the Jyot which retained Idenity of Goa. Cuncolkars have decided to be with Indian National Congress nominated INDIA Candidate Captain Viriato Fernandes & defeat Dictatorial BJP, charged Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
He was speaking at the Congress Booth Workers Meeting at his home constituency Cuncolim. Congress President Amit Patkar, Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa, INDIA Candidate Capt. Viriato Fernandes, South Goa District President Savio D’Silva,,Block President Assis Noronha, Chairperson of Cuncolim Landry Mascarenhas, Councillors, Panchayat Members were present in large numbers for the meeting.
I truly felt blessed while placing a Wreath at the Chieftains Memorial. This historic place needs to be maintained. I will ensure that Cuncolim remains on my top priority when i get elected as Member of Parliament. Unity define Cuncolim, said Captain Viriato Fernandes while addressing the Workers.
Congress President Amit Patkar in his speech slammed the BJP Government for its divisive politics. He said that Goans have realised the true face of RG which is integral part of BJP.
Massive attendance for this meeting shows the positive wave in favour of Congress Candidate. I am sure Cuncolim will give record margin to Captain said Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa.
Earlier, Captain Viriato Fernandes and all Congress Leaders placed Wreath at Chieftains Memorial and offered their tributes. INDIA Candidates were welcomed with traditional Brass Band and Women performed Aarti and showered Flower Petals on all the Leaders.
