Panaji – “I hope Hon’ble Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly, Ramesh Tawadkar, will take cognizance of my second reminder and swiftly decide on the disqualification petition pending before him. Another pending petition filed by Patkar concerns eight defecting Congress MLAs who joined the BJP in 2022. The Speaker has yet to begin hearings on this petition.

Congress President Amit Patkar is urging the Speaker to expedite the hearing and render a decision on the petition.
