Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant attended a high-level meeting in New Delhi, chaired by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, to review the implementation of the newly enacted criminal laws—Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. The discussion focused on ensuring effective execution of these laws across the country, including in Goa, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
CM Sawant stated that the Union Home Minister stressed the significance of these legal reforms in delivering timely justice and urged Goa to set a national benchmark in their implementation. He reaffirmed the state’s commitment to enforcing the laws effectively to uphold justice and strengthen the legal system.
