Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant expressed deep grief over the tragic fire incident at Arpora that claimed 23 lives, calling it a painful day for the entire state of Goa.
He offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, describing the loss as “unimaginable.”
Dr. Sawant, who visited the site, has ordered a detailed inquiry to determine the exact cause of the fire and to verify whether safety norms and building regulations were followed. He assured that strictest action will be taken against anyone found responsible, stating that any negligence will be dealt with firmly under the law.
