Panaji: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s State Election Committee has released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections in Goa, covering constituencies in both North Goa and South Goa districts. The list includes nominees from various reservation categories, with the party stating that the remaining names will be announced in a subsequent list.
For the North Goa Zilla Panchayat, BJP has fielded Sapna Vasudev Mapari from Colvale, Sagar Sudhakar Maulankar from Sirsaim, and Franzilia Celine Rodrigues from Calangute. The list further includes Amit Devidas Asnodkar (Socorro), Reshma Sandeep Bandodkar (Reis Magos), Sandeep Dattaram Salgaonkar (Penha de France), Raguvir Narayan Kuncolencar (Taleigao), Siddesh Shripad Naik (Corlim), Padmakar Arjun Malik (Latambarcem), Sundar Mortu Naik (Pale), Namdev Babal Chari (Honda), Nilesh Shambha Parwar (Querim), and Premnath Ganesh Dalvi (Nagargao).
In South Goa, the party has announced Sameksha Vaman Naik from Usgao-Ganje, Shramesh Sukdu Bhonsle from Betqui-Candola, and Pritesh Premanand Gaonkar from Curti. The first list for South Goa also features Mohan Parshuram Gaonkar from Sanvordem, Shidharth Shrinivas Gauns Dessai from Xeldem, and Sunil Mahadeo Gawas from Sancoale, representing a mix of general, women, ST, OBC, and SC categories.
In the press note dated November 30, 2025, BJP Goa General Secretary Sidharth Kuncalienker conveyed that the State Election Committee finalized these names for the ensuing ZP elections. The party has clarified that this is not the complete list and that the balance of candidates will be declared in due course.
