Panaji/Velim, December 5:
Stepping up its campaign for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections, the Aam Aadmi Party held two consecutive strategy meetings—one with South Goa candidates in Velim on Thursday and another with North Goa candidates in Panaji today. Both sessions focused on micro-level booth strategies, campaign discipline, and strengthening voter outreach. Candidates were also invited to share ground-level feedback before senior leaders addressed their concerns.
The meetings were attended by AAP Goa in-charge Atishi, State President Adv. Amit Palekar, MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas, MLA Engr. Cruz Silva, Working Presidents Valmiki Naik and Gerson Gomes, General Secretary Shrikrishna Parab, Senior Vice President Prashant Naik, and other senior leaders.
AAP State President Amit Palekar said the party’s early candidate announcement and quick campaign launch had given it a major advantage. “In many constituencies, our candidates have already completed 100% door-to-door coverage in several villages. This is the result of sincerity, planning, and discipline,” he stated.
MLA Capt. Venzy Viegas criticised the BJP government, alleging its failures are visible across sectors. “Law and order, roads, basic healthcare—the government has failed Goa on every front. People are suffering because of BJP’s incompetence, and they will send a strong message in these ZP polls,” he said.
MLA Engr. Cruz Silva underlined AAP’s service-oriented approach. “While other parties depend on money and muscle, AAP has helped over 20,000 families through health camps—without being in power. We have always prioritised people’s welfare, and that’s why citizens trust us,” he added.
AAP leaders reiterated their focus on disciplined campaigning, meaningful voter engagement, adherence to the Model Code of Conduct, and showcasing the party’s welfare initiatives, including health camps and neighbourhood outreach, as they gear up for the ZP elections.
