Margao – Goa is now a “Murder Destination” under the misrule of BJP Government headed by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant. Every day there are Incidents of Murders in Goa. Law & Order has completely collapsed. As there is no hope from the Chief Minister, I urge immediate intervention of the Governor of Goa P.S. Sreedharan Pillai to provide Safety to Citizens, stated Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
Reacting sharply to the spree of murders in last two days, Leader of Opposition charged that the BJP Government has failed in providing Safety & Security to the People of Goa.
There is absolutely no fear in the minds of the Criminals who are now on a rampage of committing crimes in Goa. There are repeated Incidents of murders, molestations, attack on senior citizens. Unfortunately, the Police Department remains clueless. There is complete intelligence failure in the State, charged Yuri Alemao.
The Police Department is ill equipped with understaff and lack of Equipments. There is direct Political interference in recruitment process which has resulted in corrupt and criminal minded persons getting enrolled in Police Department. There are 72 criminal cases registered in Goa with the involvement of Officials and Staff of Police Department. This is alarming, stated Yuri Alemao.
Time has come for the Government to get out from its Obsession for Events and pay attention in providing Safety & Security to the People of Goa. If the Government continues to ignore the rising Crimes in Goa, that day will not be far when the Goans will revolt against this Government, warned Yuri Alemao.
