Panaji: The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Committee on Wednesday extended its full support to MLA Viresh Borkar amid the ongoing agitation over Section 39A of the TCP Act. GPYC President Archit Naik, along with General Secretary Naushad Chowdhary and leaders Syden Fernandes, Terrence Picardo, Prasanjeet Dhage, Farooq Sheikh and Zaid Sheikh, met Borkar and expressed solidarity with his stand against what they termed as injustice by the BJP-led government towards the people of Goa.
The Youth Congress delegation stated that the entire organisation stands firmly with Borkar in resisting policies they described as anti-people and harmful to Goa’s interests. They also reiterated strong support for the growing public movement demanding the scrapping of Section 39A of the TCP Act.
Reaffirming its commitment, the GPYC said it would continue to fight to protect the rights, land and democratic voice of every Goan and oppose policies that threaten the state’s future.
