Margao – Welcome announcement by Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant to build “Ram Nivas” at Ayodhya. I urge Government of Goa to expedite the process of building “Goa Bhavan” at a plot already purchased at Vashi, New Mumbai which will provide much needed relief to Goans; especially those who go to Mumbai for medical treatment of chronic ailment, stated Madganvcho Awaaz & Youth Leader Prabhav Naik.
Reacting to the annoucement of Chief Minister of acquiring a plot of land in Ayodhya to build dedicated space for devotees; especially from Goa, Prabhav Naik said that Government should take steps to reduce hardships and pains of Goans visiting Mumbai.
Goans Students who want to go abroad for higher studies, visit Mumbai for visa formalities. Youths going to jobs in foreign countries also go to Mumbai for completing formalities. All of them including Goan Medical Patients and their Relatives face difficulties in getting affordable accomodation in Mumbai. It is an urgent need to build accomodation for all such people, said Prabhav Naik.
The plot at Vashi, Navi Mumbai was purchased for construction of State Guest House and Emporium.
As per information available with me, GSIDC has informed Government that proposal for statutory approvals can be processed only upon payment of the outstanding property tax to NMMC and upon extension of time limit for construction by CIDCO. And, the work can be tendered only upon receipt of statutory approvals, said Prabhav Naik.
Information available with me makes it clear that the outstanding property tax of 20.71 crores was payable before 30/08/2023. Government must settle the immediately with the concerned agencies and start construction of the guest accomodation facility which is actually the need of the hour, Prabhav Naik said.
I hope Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant will act immediately and create the facility for Goans, said Prabhav Naik.
