Panaji: Anjuna Police today arrested one Orrisa native for illegal possession of cannabis at Arpora.As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi an information was received that one person is involved in drugs activities at Arpora. Accordingly watch was maintained and a trap was laid. A team was formed under the supervision of PI Prashal Dessai and other staff. Finally today at 04:00 pm the accused was apprehended along with cannabis.The accused was identified as Saiman Mali, age 23 yrs N/o Orissa. The seized drugs was found weighing 3.10 kg worth Rs.3,10,000/-. An offence under section 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act has been registered. The raiding team consisted of PSI Dhiraj Devidas, constables Mahendra Mandrekar, Rupesh Azgaonkar, Adarsh Nagvekar and Dipesh Chodankar.Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of SP North Shobit Saxena, IPS and SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi.
