Panaji: Goa has intensified its efforts under the #100DaysForTBElimination campaign, spearheaded by Health Minister Vishwajit Rane, with a focus on public-private partnerships and advanced technology. Key measures include procuring NAAT machines and deploying AI-driven X-Ray technology for early tuberculosis detection.
From January 1–12, targeted campaigns in high-risk areas will involve influential individuals and youth to raise awareness, with Republic Day events amplifying the message for vulnerable populations. Weekly progress monitoring and promotional efforts by prominent figures will bolster the initiative.
Minister Rane emphasized integrating Women and Child Development (WCD) with healthcare efforts, recognizing the vital grassroots role of Anganwadi Workers. This approach, endorsed by Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, highlights Goa’s commitment to holistic healthcare and becoming a model state in TB elimination.
