goaplusnewsThe revered deity of Goa’s Bhandari community, Shri Dev Rudreshwar of Harvalem, Sankhali, will embark on a grand Rath Yatra across Goa from January 6 to January 27, 2025.
As part of this spiritual journey, the Rath Yatra will arrive in Canacona Taluka on Saturday, January 18, 2025.
The organizing committee extends a heartfelt invitation to all Hindu brothers and sisters, citizens from various communities, representatives of organizations, temple authorities, and devotees to participate in large numbers and seek blessings.
Detailed Schedule:
• Arrival in Canacona:
The Rath Yatra will reach Canacona at 11:00 AM. It will stop for 10 minutes near the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial to allow devotees to offer their tributes and prayers.
Following this, the Rath Yatra will proceed to Shri Gopalakrishna Temple at Mokhard, where a ceremonial puja, naivedya, and mahaprasad will be conducted.
• Procession Through Canacona Villages:
Starting from 2:00 PM, the Rath Yatra will visit several locations, including Partagal, Khavat, Karpanas, Paingin, Agas, Lolaye, Sheli, Pole, Galgibag, Kolasar, Talpon, Muthal, Ghodkamle, and Pasal. At each stop, the Rath will halt for 10 minutes for devotees to offer prayers and owalni.
• Concluding Ceremony at Shri Gopalakrishna Temple:
At 8:00 PM, the Rath will return to Shri Gopalakrishna Temple for an overnight halt. Devotees can partake in naivedya, prasad, and mahaprasad.
A melodious light music program titled “Swararudresh” will be performed in the temple premises to conclude the day’s events.
Next Day’s Program:
On January 19, 2025, a collective puja will be conducted by devotees at 10:00 AM, after which the Rath will ceremoniously proceed to the devotees in Quepem Taluka.
The organizing committee requests all devotees to bring the necessary offerings and participate wholeheartedly. Additionally, everyone is encouraged to attend the evening cultural program and contribute to the success of the event.
