Goa Traffic Police to Conduct Special Drive from February 13 to 16

Panaji: The Goa Traffic Police will launch a special drive from February 13 to 16, 2025, between 8 AM and 6 PM, to curb traffic violations and enhance road safety. The drive will focus on key offenses, including driving without a license (MDL), underage driving, riding without a helmet, not wearing seat belts, carrying excess pillion riders, driving under the influence of alcohol, using mobile phones while driving, overspeeding, modified silencers, and renting private vehicles illegally.

To ensure strict enforcement, maximum deployment of personnel has been directed, and officers will use body-worn cameras for video recording. The footage will be reflected in the Daily Situation Report (DSR). In-charge officers and DYSPs have been instructed to remain in the field to monitor the drive.

This initiative, led by Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Prabodh B. Shirwaker, aims to prevent road accidents and enhance compliance with traffic rules.
