goaplusnewsMargao – The most insensitive BJP Government is now continuing to push the comman man under huge financial burdens by rapidly increasing the petrol, diesel and gas prices. Goa acting Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant who announced BJP propoganda film Kashmir Files tax free must now show humane approach towards Goans & reduce the VAT to cap the petrol and diesel prices at Rs.80 per litre demanded Congress General Secretary and Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao.
It is shocking that the BJP government increased the LPG cylinder prices by Rs 50 and the petrol and diesel prices are hiked for the third time in last four days. Today prices are up by 80 paise per litre. This shows the complete inhumane approach of the most insensitive BJP government charged Yuri Alemao.
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant must keep in mind that the newly elected Congress MLA’s are young and energetic. We warn the government not to play with the sentiments and emotions of the people. We will strongly raise our voice in the upcoming Assembly Session stated Yuri Alemao.
Congress Party in its Manifesto titled “Roadmap to Goa Vision 2035” had promised the people of Goa to cap the petrol and diesel prices at Rs. 80 per litre. Our senior leader & former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram had done a proper study on the financial aspects before making this promise. It is possible to bring down the VAT and cap the prices, provided the government has a will and wish to help the people claimed Yuri Alemao.
Congress Party had promised only what we can deliver. It is high time that the people of Goa stand up and question all those MLA’s who are now supporting the government on their anti-people policies, Yuri Alemao said.
