Margao – “Kalakaranchi Khaan” Goa has given many Jewels to the World. Government must provide Jobs to National & International Achievers in Cultural Field and Introduce Grace Marks to Students in Cultural Field as per State Cultural Policy, stated Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
I welcome the annoucement of the Chief Minister to give jobs to National & International Gold Medal Winners in Sports. We need to also take care of Cultural Fraternity, Yuri Alemao said.
Goa has gifted to the World many talents in the field of Art and Culture. We have produced Jewels in Music, Theatre, Dance, Paintings, Folk Art and various other forms of performing arts. This rich tradition needs to be preserved, Yuri Alemao said.
It is unfortunate that Department of Art and Culture has still not fully implemented the State Cultural Policy which was introduced by Congress Government. Students should be given Grace Marks for excelling in Cultural Field under the policy, stated Yuri Alemao.
I will write to the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant requesting him to extend the Government Jobs Scheme for Sportspersons also to achievers in Cultural Field, informed Yuri Alemao.
I also demand that the Music & Dance Trainers recruited by Department of Art and Culture should be given Appraisal Based Promotions which will help them perform well and train more Students. As per current rules, Music & Dance Trainers are not entitled for any promotions, claimed Yuri Alemao.
