12, August 2024: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant convened a comprehensive meeting today at the Secretariat, engaging with all Secretaries, IAS, and IPS Officers of the Government of Goa. The meeting, which lasted for two hours, focused on several critical aspects of governance and development within the state.
CM Sawant emphasized the urgent need for the adoption and implementation of the latest innovative practices across all government departments. He urged the officials to prioritize the efficient and timely delivery of public services, stressing that these should be accessible to citizens without delays or inconvenience.
In the discussion, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of expediting key infrastructure projects, which are vital for the state’s growth. He also called for enhanced efforts in revenue mobilization to support Goa’s economic stability and development initiatives.
Moreover, the meeting included a thorough review of the performance of various departments in implementing Central Government schemes, with a particular focus on the flagship programs of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. CM Sawant underlined the significance of these schemes for the welfare of the people and the overall development of Goa.
To ensure smooth and effective administration, CM Sawant instructed the Secretaries to instill discipline among government staff. He also emphasized the need to strengthen field offices, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide government services efficiently and without causing inconvenience to the public.
