Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Tuesday announced that ₹45.26 crore has been directly credited to more than 2.24 lakh beneficiaries across Goa, including newly registered beneficiaries, under the Griha Aadhar Scheme and the Dayanand Social Security Scheme.
Chief Minister said that henceforth, financial assistance under both schemes will be credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts by the 10th of every month without delay, ensuring greater transparency and convenience. The disbursal was carried out in the presence of Women and Child Development as well as Health Minister Vishwajit Rane and Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phal Dessai.
The Chief Minister stated that the schemes continue to strengthen the social security network in the state by supporting families, women, senior citizens, widows and other vulnerable sections of society. He added that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to the principle of Antyodaya.
