Panaji: In a significant development, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant chaired a review meeting to discuss the progress of centrally sponsored schemes. During the meeting, he revealed that a total of 70 Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) worth Rs 943 crore have been prepared, out of which 42 DPRs have already been sent to the central government for approval.
Expressing confidence in the approval of these projects, Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to securing funds and implementing the schemes effectively. He further highlighted the importance of these centrally sponsored schemes in driving development and addressing the needs of the people.
The Chief Minister acknowledged the diligent efforts of the concerned departments in preparing the DPRs and ensuring their timely submission. He emphasized the significance of these schemes in various sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, and rural development.
The approval of these DPRs is expected to unlock substantial funds for the state, enabling the implementation of crucial developmental initiatives. The Chief Minister expressed optimism in the central government’s support and its recognition of Goa’s requirements and aspirations.
