AAP Goa President Slams Police Over Cash-for-Jobs Scam Investigation

Panaji: AAP Goa President Amit Palekar on Friday strongly criticized the Goa Police following their press conference on the cash-for-jobs scam. In a fiery tweet, Palekar accused the police of shielding politicians and demanded transparency in the ongoing investigation.

He urged the police, including DGP Alok Kumar and SPs of North and South Goa, to make public the call records of all accused from the past year and to ensure the investigation is transparent. Palekar alleged that internal sources have revealed that some accused named prominent politicians from BJP Goa, but the police have failed to act on these claims.

“Is the investigation complete enough to give a clean chit to politicians? Have voice recordings and forensic evidence been analyzed? The scripted press conference shows the police are acting as stooges of political bosses, not as independent officers,” Palekar wrote.

He reiterated AAP’s demand for the appointment of a Judicial Commission by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to oversee the case, questioning the independence and integrity of the current investigation.
