It is most unfortunate that certain anti-social elements are trying to create communal unrest in Goa with muscle power patronised by section of party in power. It is shocking that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant who holds Home portfolio is totally silent on the incidents at Canacona and Cuncolim, said Amit Patkar.
We all should remain alert at all times to maintain peace and harmony. We must support each other during testing times, Amit Patkar said.
Even after 76 years of his unfortunate death, Mahatma Gandhi is celebrated by the world because he gave the teachings of non-violance. We should not fall prey to violence, stated Amit Patkar.
We belong to mother earth and it is our duty to protect her by preserving forests, rivers, fields, hills and mountains. Deliberate attempts are being made to divert attention from destruction of mother earth with land conversions, claimed Amit Patkar.
I humbly appeal to all Goans across religions not to get instigated by divisive and anti-social elements. We must unite to preserve our culture and heritage, said Amit Patkar.
