Margao – Disturbing reports of Common People of Margao being harassed by Government Officials on dictats of Godman Digambar Kamat not to process their applications for small works unless routed through Model Margao portal. I urge South Goa Collector & Chief Officer of Margao Municipal Council to intervene & stop this immediately, demanded Congress President Amit Patkar.
I want to assure Citizens of Margao not to worry and remain fearless. Congress Party will fight for their Rights. We will soon create a Cell to address grievances of Common People. All three Congress MLAs will get into pro-active mode, said Amit Patkar.
I have reports of Margao MLA Digambar Kamat pressurising Mamlatdars, Talathis in Collectorate as well as Staff of Margao Municipal Council not to process Applications of Birth Certificates, Resident Certificates, Income Certificate, Divergency Certificate etc unless the same are uploaded from Margao Model email id, claimed Amit Patkar.
This act of the Betrayer and Defector MLA of Margao is out of Frustration of his failure during recently held Loksabha Elections. Madgaonkars stood with Congress Candidate Capt. Viriato Fernandes and taught Defector a lesson. He should learn from the defeat and stop playing dirty tricks, said Amit Patkar.
