The Swayampurna Mitra and Taluka Nodal Officers under the Swyampurna Goa – Seva Sushasn, Jan Kalyan Programme, deadlier scheduled to visit their respective village panchayats on April 22 shall take up the duty on April 24. All necessary Orders to Swayampurna Mitra and Taluka Nodal Officers were issued in advance.
The Swayampurna Goa programme in Goa is implemented by 237 Syampurna Mitra and 25 Taluka Nodal officers. All Swayampurna Goa Mitra and Taluka Nodal Officers are assigned the task of visiting their respective village panchayats every Saturday and interacting with the people and Sarpanch and all panch members in order to ensure that benefits under each central and State scheme reaches to every eligible persons. Besides this, the Swayampurna Mitra and Taluka Nodal Officers hear the problems and grievances of locals and resolve them.
“Therefore, all public members are hereby informed that the Swayampurna Mitra and Taluka Nodal Officers shall be available at their respective village panchayats from 9.30 am to 1.00 pm on Monday, April 24. All public members therefore may visit their respective village panchayats during 9.30 am to 1.00 pm on April 24 and avail the services,” reads a statement issued by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s office.
It may be noted on the occassion Chief Minister, Dr Pramod Sawant will also interact with the general public as a Swayampurna Mitra. He will address all SM, TNO and general public at 10 am from the office of the village panchayat of Saligao, Bardez, North Goa through video conferencing.
Further, the government has decided that in view of Lairai Devi Jatra, the above programme will not take place in village panchayats of Assonora and Shirgao.
