Margao – Senior Journalist, Teacher & Artist Anil Vasant Pai was felicitated at the hands of Elder of Pai Family Laxmibai Pai at his “Amrut Mahotsav” Function held at Shree Ashvath Narayan Sabhagruha, Mokhard-Canacona on Sunday 16th April 2023 in the presence of his Family Members & Well Wishers.
Former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Adv. Radharao Gracias, M K Shaikh , Ratnakar Neurekar, Anna Narvekar, Vinay Naik and others extended their compliments to Anil Pai on the occasion & wished him healthy long life.
Amrut Mahotsav celebrations began on Saturday 15th April with Maha Pooja at Shree Ashwath Narayan Temple by Haunsa and Anil Pai.
Three generations of my family have bonding with Anil Pai. This relationship started with my father late Babu Naik and continues till today. Anil Pai has immensely contributed for Mathgramstha Hindu Sabha and has major role to play in the success of its educational institutions, said President of Mathgramastha Hindu Sabha, Pandurang alias Bhai Naik.
Anil Pai is a devoted Mathanuyayi of Shree Gokarn Partagali Math. His service to Math needs to be recognised in this year of his “Amrut Mahotsav”. I will humbly request Param Pujya Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji to honour Anil Pai with an Award instituted by the Math, said Vishal Pai Cacode while addressing the gathering.
Speaking on the occasion
former Headmasters Ulhas Pai Bhatikar said that Anil Pai is “Ambassador of Canconkars” across Goa and other States.
Former Headmaster Vinay Kuncolienkar praised Anil Pai for his hardwork and dedication towards any responsibility handled by him. He also complimented his wife Haunsa for supporting her husband in Social Work. Former Collector Gokuldas Naik also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier Anil Pai was presented with a Idol of Shree Ashwath Narayan at the hands of Family Elder Laxmibai Pai. His grandaughter Anagha recited Pasaydan while Urvashi and Vedant Pai spoke about their Uncle’s contribution in their life. Subhash Pai also recited “Mrutyunjai Jap” wishing a long life to Anil Pai.
Function began with lighting of 75 lamps by the relatives & friends of Anil Pai. Daughter Sneha Rohan Nadkarni welcomed the gathering while Son-in-law Rohan Nadkarni proposed vote of thanks. The function was beautifully compeered by Shirish Pai who highlighted many facets of Anil Pai.
