Panaji: On 03/12/2022, Colvale Police Station staff conducted an extensive tenant verification drive under the extreme Supervision of SP, North Porvorim Shri. Nidhin Valsan and SDPO Mapusa Shri. Jivba G. Dalvi .. PI Somnath Majik along with Psi’s Sushant Sangodkar, Mandar Parab , Kunal Naik and staff of Colvale ps conducted the Operation.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi during the course of the above drive, police staff visited house to house and about 50 persons were rounded up and brought to the police station for further verification, who had not filled their Tenant verification forms and not submitted to the Police station, which is mandatory by law.
Cases have been registered under section 188 IPC for violation of orders of the District Magistrate against each house owner who had kept tenants without filling the forms. During the search drive police found a total of 07 suspected persons namely 1) Chandan Kumar Gond s/o Mahesh Gond , age 29 yrs ,occ-Painter, r/o Saraya, Narayanpur, Majhwalia, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, 274501. At Present Arsad Khan, r/o Auchit waddo, Thivim Bardez Goa. 2) Sikandar Ali s/o Hyder Ali, age 23 yrs, occ-Painting, r/o Narayanpur, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. At Present- Arsad Khan, r/o Auchit waddo, Thivim Bardez Goa ,3) Meraj Ahamad s/o Nisar Ahamad age 19 yrs ,occ-Carpainter r/o Amathari, Sant Kabir Uttar Pradesh. At Present- Arsad Khan, r/o Auchit waddo, Thivim Bardez Goa. 4) Arshad Husen, s/o Mohammad Bakas, age 22 yrs r/o Amathari, Sant Kabir Nagar, Santha, Uttar Pradesh, Arsad Khan, r/o Auchit waddo, Thivim Bardez Goa. 5) Tasour Husen s/o Mohammad Isha, age 26 yrs, occ-carpenter r/o Amathari, Sant Kabir Nagar, santha Uttarpradesh, Since last one month. 6) Anil Singh s/o Nanhu Singh, age 19 yrs (DOB-01.01.2004) r/o Gram Bairagi, Panvhayat-alhawar,Karpa, Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh At Present Hussain r/o Auchit waddo, Thivim Bardez Goa. 7) Kishan Gupta, s/o Madam Gupta Dhanouli Lala age 20 yrs, occ-weilder, r/o Dhanouli Lala, Deoria, Thengvali Dubey, Uttar Pradesh, At Present c/o Mithilesh Kumar Gupta, Survey No.346 1, Village, Thivim, Colvale North Goa.
All the above persons were placed under arrest under section 41 CrPC and a case is being submitted against each arrestee to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mapusa – Goa. SDPO Dalvi further added that this types of tenant verification drive will be randomly conducted in the other areas within the jurisdiction of Mapusa Sub Division in order for effective policing and to conduct 100% Tenant verification.
