goaplusnewsPanaji: Colvale Police today arrested 02 persons for committing robbery from one person.As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi a complaint was lodged by Mr. Rama Gupta N/o Mumbai informing that he is doing survey for NPCI(National Payments Corporation of India). On 25/09/2022 at around 03:30 pm while he was in Colvale area, 02 unknown persons forcibly kidnapped him on scooter and when reached near colvale jail other accused came on swift car and further forcefully put in said car and after assaulted him and Further they threatened him and robbed him of his 02 Lenovo tabs worth Rs. 80,000/-. They also made him transfer Rs. 3,500/- after taking him to another place forcibly.And latter left him at Karaswada and fled away .Accordingly a teams were formed under the supervision of SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi consisting of PI Somnath Mahajik, PSI Mandar Parab, constables Rama Naik, Rohit Shetgaonkar, Datta Gauns, Anand Kerkar and Ashwekar Raut. The team worked out the case during Early morning of 26/9/22 in morning hours and arrested 02 persons namely Mr. Milind Naik age 49 yrs R/o Pernem – Goa and Mr. Prakash Shetkar Age 39 yrs N/o Irrigation Quarters , Colvale , Bardez Goa from Pernem and Colvale.Upon their arrest the 02 stolen tabs were seized from the accused persons. Also the vehicles i.e Maruti Swift and the scooter used for commision of offence have been taken into custody.Both accused persons have been arrested under section 394 , 365 R/w 34. IPC and presently in police custody.Both accused were granted 2 days police custody.One of the accused person Mr. Prakash Shetkar is an Government servant and presently working in ITI, Peddem, Mapusa as Peon . A report is being submitted against the employee for disciplinary action by his concerned department.Further investigation is in progress with PSI Mandar Parab under the supervision of SDPO Jivba Dalvi and SP North Shobit Saxena IPS
