Margao – Leader of Opposition & Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao initiated various developmental works including Beautification of Chieftains Memorial, Installation of 200 KVA Transformer at Chandor, Development of Gutli Tolem, Construction of Protection Wall at Macazana Lake, Illumination of Street Lights, Aadhar Card Centre etc. in Cuncolim Constituency.
We have already commenced the Underground Cabling Work in Cuncolim. Asphalting of various Internal Roads are also taken up in a phased manner. Construction of new Drains as well as Covering of Drains has also commenced, stated Yuri Alemao.
Beautification of Martyrs Memorial will begin soon. We have a plan to undertake Beautifucation of Open Space outside Cuncolim Municipal Hall. I am continuously following up with the Government on Development of Chandor as Heritage Village, stated Yuri Alemao.
I have already written to the Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte to organise “Heritage Festival” at Chandor as an Annual Event. I hope Government will soon notify “Satryo Festival” as State Festival of Goa, said Yuri Alemao.
We have identified a place for Construction of much needed Health Centre in Cuncolim. I hope Government will allot funds and complete the work in time bound manner, Yuri Alemao said.
I am also aware of various unresolved issues in Cuncolim and I will take steps to find a permanent solution to all pending issues. My efforts are on to transform Cuncolim into a Model Town, stated Yuri Alemao.
Cuncolim remained neglected for almost 10 years from 2012 to 2022. I am putting in all efforts towards Betterment of Cuncolim. I appeal to Cuncolcars to extend their cooperation and support to the works undertaken, Yuri Alemao stated.
