PANAJI: The Annual Zatra of Lord Maruti at Marutigad, Mala, will take place from February 7 to February 10, 2025. In light of the festivities, authorities have announced the following traffic regulations to ensure smooth vehicular movement.
Road Closures:
• The stretch from Circuit House, Altinho Junction to Mala Petrol Pump via Maruti Temple will be closed to all vehicles.
• The road from St. Francis Xavier Chapel (Four Pillars) to Mala Spring will also remain closed.
• The stretch from St. Xavier Chapel (Four Pillars) to Ram Mandir, Bhatlem is already closed due to ongoing Smart City works.
Parking Arrangements:
• Vehicles arriving from St. Cruz and Rua de Ourem can park at Hegdewar School Ground and near the PDA office.
• Vehicles from Altinho can be parked near Circuit House and Government Quarters by-lanes, Altinho.
Traffic Diversions:
• Vehicles from Santa Cruz heading towards Altinho will be diverted at Mala Petrol Pump to Rua de Ourem Road.
• Vehicles from Altinho heading towards Mala will be diverted at Circuit House via Church Square – Cortin.
Motorists are urged to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with the Traffic Police for a hassle-free commute during the Zatra.
