On June 1, 2024, at approximately 5:15 PM, Tourist Police Unit (TPU) officers PC-6471 Nagesh Parsekar and PC-7933 A.Y. Biraddar noticed a young boy named Ummid Chawdary, aged 5, crying on the beach while searching for his parents. Unable to provide their names or address, the officers, along with lifeguard Leslie Rodrigues, made continuous announcements using a megaphone. By 5:40 PM, they successfully located the boy’s parents, Javed Hamid Chawdary and Nassim Javed Chawdary from Tohwa Park, Gujarat. The child was handed over to his parents after proper verification.
