Panaji – It is now confirmed that the BJP Government of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant sold our Lifeline Mother Mhadei under pressure of Central Leaders of BJP. Shocking that WRD Secretary of Goa Government remained absent for PRAWAH meeting today. WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar must resign immediately, demanded Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
He slammed the BJP Government on absence of Water Resource Department Secretary Sarpreet Singh Gill during Meeting of PRWAH today. This shows the casual attitude of BJP on Mhadei, said Amarnath Panjikar.
Ulterior Motives Exposed stand exposed. Progressive River Authority for Welfare & Harmony (PRAWAH) is without any Authority? Why they need Legal Opinion from Central Government for Joint Inspection of Kalsa Project? It is BJP Government at Centre which compelled BJP Govternment in Goa to compromise on Mhadei, pointed Amarnath Panjikar.
I had challenged the WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar to prove me wrong on Inspections by Goa Government of Illegal Construction Work carried out by Karnataka to divert water from Mhadei. I once again state that BJP Government did not do any inspections after April 2023, Amarnath Panjikar said.
BJP Government is deliberately taking casual stand and turns a blind eye on activities carried out by Karnataka. Even the Inspections carried out by PRAWAH team in July 2024 were to get familarised with Mhadei basin and not to check illegal works, claimed Amarnath Panjikar.
BJP Government is all out to destroy Goa. Their leaders in Delhi are eyeing on every inch of land in Goa and want to comvert Goa into Concrete Jungle. This is the reason BJP Government is reluctant to declare Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary as “Tiger Reserve”, charged Amarnath Panjikar.
