Panaji – It is the duty of the government to provide proper roads and water supply to the citizens and pay timely salaries to the hardworking workers. It is unfortunate that the agitating Mayem Sarpanch alongwith Villagers and a photo journalists are arrested and Workers at Mopa are compelled to aggressively agitate. Caretaker Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant must immediately intervene and resolve both the issues demanded Cuncolim Congress MLA and Congress General Secretary Yuri Alemao.
Reacting to the protests and arrest at Mayem and tense situation at Mopa, the newly elected Congress Leader Yuri Alemao termed the BJP Government as insensitive and careless.
I Strongly condemn the arrest of Mayem Sarpanch, Villagers & a Photo Journalist during the protest demanding road repairs & proper water supply. I along with my Congress functionaries stand in complete solidarity with the Mayem Villagers & demand their immediate & release Yuri Alemao said.
The insensitive BJP caretaker Government continues with its carelessness & compels hardworking Mopa Airport Construction Site Workers to aggressively agitate demanding their Salaries. I urge immediate intervention of the Chief Minister to ensure that their salaries are paid immediately stated Yuri Alemao.
Congress is now represented by young MLA’s and we will all unitedly fight for the rights of the people of Goa. We will continue to be the voice of the Goans, Yuri Alemao said.
