Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Amit Patkar announced today that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will attend the Goa Statehood Day celebrations on May 30, 2025. Patkar, along with Congress Legislature Party Leader Yuri Alemao, met Kharge in Bengaluru to extend a formal invitation, which was graciously accepted.

Patkar described the meeting as both strategic and meaningful, with discussions focusing on the political situation in Goa. The leaders expressed concerns over the BJP-led government’s alleged misgovernance and anti-people policies, citing increasing public dissatisfaction across the state.

The meeting also included detailed deliberations on the roadmap for the 2027 Goa Assembly elections. Patkar emphasized that the Congress party is committed to rebuilding its organisation from the grassroots level and offering a credible, people-centric alternative to the BJP.

“Shri Kharge Ji’s visit will boost the morale of our workers and strengthen the Goa Congress. The movement to reclaim Goa’s future has begun,” said Patkar, adding that the party is united and prepared to take on the ruling BJP to restore transparency and good governance.

Panaji: The Goa Congress looks forward to welcoming Mallikarjun Kharge and reaffirming its commitment to safeguard Goa’s identity, democratic values, and the rights of its people.
