Panaji: Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao has accused the BJP government of converting peaceful Goa into a crime hub. Citing the recent gang fight in Mungul, Fatorda, and a firing incident in Marcaim, Alemao said these are clear signs of the collapse of law and order. He alleged that criminals have no fear of the police, with jails supplying drugs and mobiles, and even police officers indulging in robberies. He further said that nakabandis are seen only after crimes occur, while criminals freely roam the streets at night attacking and robbing people. Calling it “shameful,” Alemao said the incapacitated government has completely failed to protect its citizens.
