Law enforcement agencies made a significant breakthrough as they intercepted a major consignment of non-duty paid liquor on the Bengaluru highway in Telangana, with a staggering estimated value of around 2 crore. The seizure, occurring between Balanagar and Jadcherla, involved the detention of two individuals suspected to be linked to the illicit trade.

In response to this development, Amit Palekar, President of AAP Goa, raised pointed questions regarding the oversight of the BJP-led government in Goa, headed by CM Dr. Pramod Sawant. Palekar’s inquiries targeted the efficiency of the Excise Department and hinted at possible complicity or negligence at higher levels. The incident underscores broader concerns about the unchecked proliferation of illegal liquor trade across state borders, prompting calls for intensified vigilance and coordinated efforts to curb such criminal activities.
