Panaji; August 3, 2026: From mentorship and incubation to investor connect and national-level exposure, Goan startups are gaining access to new growth opportunities through platforms supported by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C) and its Startup & IT Promotion Cell (SITPC). One such platform, IdeaBaaz Startup Goa Day 2026, organised by Sangam Seva Foundation, has enabled local entrepreneurs to strengthen their ventures and connect with the resources needed to scale their businesses.

As part of DITE&C’s continued efforts to create a supportive environment for entrepreneurship, SITPC partnered with Sangam Seva Foundation – Incubation Centre Powered by Ideabaaz to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, students and ecosystem partners under one platform. The programme attracted 124 Goan startups along with participation from school students, across technology and non-technology sectors, highlighting the growing entrepreneurial potential emerging from the State and creating meaningful pathways for founders to learn, collaborate and scale.

One of the key outcomes of the programme has been the national exposure created for Goan startups. Five startups from Goa, KAVACH Infra Solutions LLP (Fire Safety & Disaster), Reclevo Infotech Pvt. Ltd. (Climate Tech), BARSCALE (AI/ML & DeepTech), Vindaloo Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. (OTT & Digital Media), and MYPET-OPD (Animal Healthcare) have earned the opportunity to represent the State at the IdeaBaaz Startup Fest 2026, to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from August 26 to 30, 2026.

The platform will connect them with investors, mentors, industry experts and potential collaborators, opening new avenues for business growth beyond Goa. The programme also celebrated entrepreneurial excellence through the Goencho Udyogpati initiative, with Mrs. Geetanjali Lobo, Founder of FestaCraft Global Pvt. Ltd., being recognised as the Goencho Udyogpati – Goa Brand Ambassador.

Another significant outcome was the encouragement of young innovators. School students confidently presented their ideas before an expert panel, reflecting the growing entrepreneurial mindset among Goa’s youth.

Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Government of Goa, said, “Goa is steadily emerging as a destination where ideas are nurtured into successful enterprises. Through DITE&C and the Startup & IT Promotion Cell, we are creating opportunities for entrepreneurs to access mentorship, incubation, investor connect and national platforms that help them grow beyond the State. Our focus is to build an innovation ecosystem where startups have the support to scale, create employment and contribute to Goa’s vision of becoming a leading hub for technology and innovation.”

The support is extended beyond the event. Through the programme, 20 startups were selected for a two-month incubation programme at the Sangam Seva Foundation Incubation Centre. They are currently participating in weekly Saturday Startup Business School sessions, where they receive structured mentorship, business guidance and industry exposure to strengthen their ventures. Upon completion of the programme, 10 startups will be selected for funding support, enabling them to take the next step in their entrepreneurial journey.

The programme also reinforced the importance of inclusive entrepreneurship. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IdeaBaaz, Innovary and FICCI FLO Goa was signed to strengthen support for women-led enterprises, while more than 50 women entrepreneurs and Self-Help Group (SHG) members participated in the event, highlighting the growing role of women in Goa’s startup ecosystem.

Through strategic collaborations with ecosystem partners, DITE&C and SITPC continue to create opportunities that go beyond individual events. By enabling access to mentorship, incubation, funding, market linkages and national platforms, they are helping Goan startups build scalable businesses, generate employment and contribute to Goa’s growing innovation-driven economy.
