Panaji – I believe, every responsibility comes with accountability. I will work with dedication & honesty to protect democracy & identity of Goa. I will adopt to consultative process with all opposition MLA’s & lead to espouse the voice of Goans and be the guard against abuse of power said Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao.
I am aware that it is a challenging job. I will take guidance from constitutional experts, former legislators, intellectuals, thinkers, subject experts while performing my duties, Yuri Alemao said.
I will also have a dialogue with all NGOs, industry and trade associations and social and cultural groups to understand and voice their issues.
Goa and Goans are facing tough challenges on various fronts. Our environment, heritage & identity is at stake. Unemployment rate is at all time high with Government clueless on creating employment opportunities. My first task will be to initiate a peoples movement against the anti-people policies of the government, Yuri Alemao said.
I will reach out to all Opposition MLA’s to bring them on a common platform to fight for the rights of Goans. We need to keep our political differences aside when it comes to issues pertaining to our mother land, stated Yuri Alemao.
