In response to a recent motor vehicle accident involving a bus carrying employees at Verna, the Traffic Cell of Goa has taken decisive action to bolster road safety protocols in Industrial Development Corporations (IDCs) throughout the region.

Traffic officers conducted comprehensive visits to numerous companies within the IDCs, engaging in discussions with management representatives. During these meetings, it was emphasized that companies should acquire breath analyzer test units, also known as Alcometers. Furthermore, it was mandated that breath tests be conducted for drivers operating buses transporting employees and trucks used by these firms.

These measures aim to avert similar incidents in the future and reinforce safety standards on Goan roads.

Today’s visits encompassed the following IDCs:

  1. Kundaim IDC
  2. Tivim IDC
  3. Pilerne IDC
  4. Corlim IDC
  5. Tuem IDC
  6. Bicholim IDC
