Goa State Film Festival 2025: Dynamic Workshops and Masterclasses Unveiled

The Goa State Film Festival (GSFF) is set to captivate cinephiles and industry professionals from August 14th to 17th, 2025, at The Maquinez Palace in Panaji. Under the joint initiative of the Entertainment Society of Goa and the Department of Information and Publicity, the festival promises an engaging lineup of workshops and masterclasses led by renowned experts in their fields.

On August 15th, Shri Neelaabh Kaul will lead a workshop titled “Painting with Light: Cinematography as the Soul of Cinema,” offering insight into the pivotal role of light and visual storytelling in filmmaking.

The following day, August 16th, features two masterclasses: Shri Kanwarjit Paintal will present “The Art & Craft of Acting,” sharing decades of expertise in performance and character development.

 Later the same morning, Shri Pankaj Saxena will guide audiences through “Understanding the Power of Cinema Through Its Elements,” illuminating the essential components that make cinema a powerful medium.

Excitement peaks on August 17th with “Action in Cinema: A Powerful Representation of Cinematic Action Craftsmanship,” hosted by Shri Chitah Yajnesh Shetty, who will demonstrate the intricacies and artistry behind action sequences in film.
