Panaji: The Goa Forward Party today reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with the people’s movement “Goa Against Gundaraj” and reiterated that Justice for Rama Kankonkar is Justice for Goa.
The brutal attack on Rama Kankonkar is not just an assault on one individual, but an attack on every Goan who stands for truth, justice, and democracy. It is a grim reminder of the criminalisation of politics that has taken root in Goa, threatening the very foundations of our society.
In light of new evidence that has recently emerged, it is clear that there has been serious laxity in the investigation. Shockingly, this crucial aspect has not yet been investigated by the Goa Police. Such omissions only strengthen the growing public impression that the probe is nothing but an eyewash.
The Goa Forward Party demands that @GoaPolice conduct a comprehensive, fearless, and transparent investigation into the attempt to murder Rama Kankonkar. Goans will not tolerate half-hearted measures or investigations designed to protect the guilty.
Anything less than a full and impartial inquiry will be seen as a betrayal of justice and a blow to democracy in Goa.
