Andaman & Nicobar Islands witnessed a unique blend of adventure and philanthropy as seven cyclists from Goa pedalled across the islands in support of Smile Foundation, a Delhi-based national development organisation that has been working for the education and healthcare of underprivileged children for the past 23 years. The foundation currently runs over 400 projects across 27 states of Bharat, reaching out to more than 15 million children and their families through its life cycle approach programmes.
The four-day cycling expedition, held from September 21 to 24, 2025, covered a challenging distance of 350 km. Representing Goa were Yogesh Prabhudessai, Suryakant R. Narvekar, Shilpa Pawar, Adv. Raviraj Chodankar, Adv. Sarvesh Kamat Malyekar, Dr. Rohan Karmali and Dr. Vishal Naik.
In total, over 35 cyclists from across the country joined the initiative, which was organised under the guidance of Team Parikrama to promote eco-tourism in the pristine Andaman Islands.
