Drunk Delhi Tourist Rams Jeep into Parked Vehicles at Khalsawada; Retired Mumbai Man Killed on Spot

A tragic accident occurred at the Khalsawada parking area on the evening of June 14 around 4 PM, when a Thar jeep (GA 03 AH 5264) driven by a heavily intoxicated tourist from Delhi, identified as Arvind Singh Rawat, rammed into multiple parked vehicles and fatally crushed a retired man from Mumbai. The victim died on the spot.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Thar, a rent-a-car vehicle, came speeding from the beach area and hit two parked Swift cars (GA 08 V 7130 and GA 08 V 3445), an Activa scooter (GA 03 AC 9178), and a Mahindra XUV (GA 11 T 2857) belonging to a local resident, before finally crashing into an electric pole and coming to a halt.

Locals claimed the tourist was under the influence of alcohol, with beer bottles seen inside the jeep, and the occupants were unable to stand properly after the crash. The police have launched an investigation, and the untimely death of the senior citizen has left the local community deeply saddened.
