04 August 2026; Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Tuesday met Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah in New Delhi and sought early implementation of political reservation for Scheduled Tribes (STs) in the Goa Legislative Assembly.
The Chief Minister said Amit Shah gave a positive assurance on his request to expedite the process. During the meeting, Dr. Sawant also briefed the Union Home Minister on various development initiatives and key projects being undertaken by the Government of Goa, while seeking his continued guidance and support.
Dr. Sawant further invited Amit Shah to attend the presentation ceremony of the Hon’ble President of India’s Police Colours to the Goa Police. On behalf of the BJP Goa unit, he also extended an invitation to inaugurate the party’s new Goa headquarters.
