Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated and addressed the OSH India Conference & Exhibition 2025 in Mumbai, stressing that workplace safety and health go beyond regulatory compliance and must be treated as a national priority.

He said safer workplaces contribute to stronger industries and a stronger India, noting that from PPE adoption to mental health, and from sustainability to innovation, India is setting new benchmarks.

The Chief Minister underlined Goa’s commitment to worker welfare, safety, and well-being, citing initiatives by the Inspectorate of Factories & Boilers, the ESI Scheme, and other welfare programs that extend support into healthcare, education, and social security for workers and their families.

Emphasizing the need to adapt to new realities—digital workplaces, sustainability, and mental health—he said compliance must evolve into a culture of care.

Sawant thanked Informa Markets and OSH India for providing the platform and reaffirmed Goa’s alignment with global best practices in occupational safety and health.
