Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant voiced concerns about certain individuals attempting to disturb the communal harmony in Goa, labeling them as “unsatisfied souls.” Speaking at an event in Margao where sanction orders were distributed to beneficiaries of the state government’s Grih Adhar scheme, Sawant expressed confidence in the people of Goa to thwart such disruptive efforts.

“Goa has always been renowned for its communal harmony, where residents coexist peacefully, celebrating various religious festivals. However, there are a few dissatisfied individuals attempting to disrupt this harmony. I am confident that the people of Goa will not allow such attempts in our peace-loving state,” Sawant remarked.

Additionally, Sawant revealed a partnership with the food delivery company Swiggy to provide home delivery of Ganesh Chaturthi-related food items through a newly launched online platform named ‘Swayampoorna E-Bazaar Platform.’ He emphasized that this food delivery service would be extended beyond the Ganesh Chaturthi festival and would also encompass handicraft items.

During the event, Sawant distributed sanction letters to 11,000 women under the Grih Adhar scheme, in addition to the existing 1.36 lakh beneficiaries who receive monthly pensions, according to officials.
