BJP Should Stop Misusing the Sanctity of Ram Rajya and Lord Ram for Political Gains

It is deeply unfortunate and condemnable that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and the BJP continue to misuse the sacred concept of Ram Rajya for their political narratives, while completely failing to uphold its ideals in governance.

Ram Rajya stands for justice, equality, welfare of all, protection of the vulnerable, and an administration built on truth and righteousness. Can the BJP government in Goa truly claim to be delivering Ram Rajya?

Let CM Dr. Pramod Sawant explain to the people of Goa:
• Has unemployment been eradicated in the state? On the contrary, Goa currently has the second highest unemployment rate in the country. Where is the roadmap for job creation and youth empowerment?
• Is the law and order situation under control? Crimes such as robbery, rape, and corruption are alarmingly on the rise, both in Goa and across the country under BJP rule.
• Are women and children safe? What has this government done to make public spaces and institutions more secure?
• Can an individual express their thoughts freely without fear of intimidation, suppression, or persecution?

The ground reality is far from the divine vision of Ram Rajya. Instead, people are suffering under the weight of rising unemployment, inflation, failed governance, corruption, and authoritarianism.

This is not the Ram Rajya our people believe in. This is not the governance Lord Ram would ever bless.

Goa Pradesh Congress strongly condemns the statements made by BJP leaders including CM Pramod Sawant and State BJP leaders. We demand that the BJP immediately stop using religion in their dirty and selfish politics. Such exploitation of faith for political mileage is an insult to the ideals of Lord Ram and the intelligence of the people.

We urge Goans to see through the hypocrisy and demand real development, transparent governance, and a just and equal society—not hollow slogans and divisive politics.
