Margao – I was Sshocked to hear about the accident at night in Curchorem on Sunday 15th September 2024, seriously injuring two persons due to bad condition of roads. Sunday morning Congress Party tried to reduce the risk of commuters by filling the potholes with mud & cow dung in Curchorem. However, our efforts fell short. I am praying for speedy recovery of injured, stated Congress President Amit Patkar.
When i reached South Goa District Hospital to enquire about the person seriously injured in an accident at Curchorem on Sunday night, I was told that he is shifted to GMC. From Curchorem to Margao to GMC, Insenstive BJP Government’s Health Minister Vishwajit Rane is busy meeting Home Minister Amit Shah to save his chair resulting in collapse of health care system in Goa. I demand that Health Minister should resign Immediately, said Amit Patkar.
BJP government has converted all roads in Goa into death traps. In one week 5 people lost lives. BJP Government headed by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has brought darkness in many families during Ganesh Chaturthi festival, said Amit Patkar.
It is shocking to know that almost 7 accidents takes place everyday in Goa with average one person succumbing to injuries in every 31 hours. In last 8 months 197 persons died in 186 accidents, pointed Amit Patkar.
Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has no right to continue as Minister. He has miserably failed in his duties. It is a shame that otherwise loud speaking Mauvin Godinho is now muted himself, said Amit Patkar.
Congress Party will now go aggressive against all the misdeeds of the corrupt BJP Government. We will reach to every village in Goa exposing the failures of BJP government, said Amit Patkar.
