BJP Goa Criticizes Girish Chodankar for Baseless Comments on J P Nadda’s Visit Cancellation

BJP Goa has strongly condemned recent comments made by former GPCC President Girish Chodankar regarding the last-minute cancellation of BJP National President Shri J P Nadda’s visit. The BJP stated that the cancellation was due to pressing commitments, including a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where significant decisions, such as the Unified Pension Scheme for retired government servants, were taken.

BJP Goa spokesperson Giriraj Pai Vernekar accused Chodankar of making baseless allegations to stay relevant after being denied a Congress ticket for the South Goa Lok Sabha seat. Vernekar further questioned why Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra did not include Goa and why Gandhi did not campaign in the state during the Lok Sabha elections, suggesting that Gandhi might have distanced himself from Goa due to the perceived corruption and lack of intellectual leadership within the state Congress.

Vernekar contrasted this with the multiple visits by PM Modi and HM Amit Shah to Goa, underscoring the importance of the state to BJP’s national leadership. He advised Chodankar to focus on resolving internal conflicts within the Congress party rather than making unfounded statements about BJP.
